OPPO is preparing to refresh its mid-range Reno lineup in India and globally, and this time, there’s a new twist. Industry sources have told 91mobiles that the company is working on the OPPO Reno15 Pro Mini, which will be the first compact smartphone in the Reno series.

The move comes as more brands start revisiting smaller, easier-to-handle phones after years of increasingly large displays. According to the information shared with us, OPPO is focusing on delivering a compact form factor without sacrificing the premium look and feel that the Reno series is known for.

OPPO Reno15 Pro Mini

The OPPO Reno15 Pro Mini is said to feature a 6.32-inch AMOLED display with slim 1.6mm bezels, putting it in the compact category by today’s standards. The phone is expected to weigh around 187 grams and measure 7.99mm in thickness. OPPO will reportedly offer a Glacier White colour option with a distinctive ribbon-style design on the back, exclusive to this variant. The device is also tipped to feature a glass back to maintain the Reno series’ premium aesthetic.

In terms of durability, the Reno15 Pro Mini is expected to support IP66, IP67, and IP69 ratings, suggesting strong protection against dust and water.

Earlier reports indicated that the compact model in the lineup might be called the OPPO Reno15 Mini, and some leaks even suggested that the standard Reno15 itself would be the smaller device. However, the latest information indicates a separate Reno15 Pro Mini model. The Reno15 series has already gone official in China with the regular Reno15 and Reno15 Pro, both offering AMOLED displays, large batteries, and upgraded camera systems. Notably, no Pro Mini model was announced in China, suggesting the Reno15 Pro Mini may be limited to select markets.

While complete specifications of the Reno15 Pro Mini are still under wraps, earlier leaks suggest OPPO may adopt a region-specific hardware strategy. Globally, the Reno15 series could launch with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, unlike the Chinese Reno15, which uses the MediaTek Dimensity 8450 processor. Other rumoured specs include a 6,500mAh battery with 80W wired fast charging and a triple rear camera setup, possibly featuring a 50MP telephoto sensor on at least one variant.

A previous 91mobiles Hindi report claimed that the Reno15 series might debut in India in December, though an exact launch date has not yet been confirmed.
