Samsung introduced the Galaxy Watch Ultra last year, and then followed up by releasing a new color variant, the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2025, earlier this year. If you’re among the many wondering when an actual successor—the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2—might launch, some new information has just surfaced.

A recent report claims that the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 is set to debut next summer. The new watch will reportedly launch alongside the Galaxy Watch9, which is expected to be announced at the same event as Samsung’s next-generation Galaxy Z Fold and Z Flip devices, likely around July.

Interestingly, within the company, Samsung refers to this upcoming device as the Galaxy Watch9 Ultra. That might sound like a rebranding is underway, but it aligns with Samsung’s past internal naming—last year’s Galaxy Watch Ultra, for example, was known internally as the Galaxy Watch7 Ultra. So for now, it looks like Samsung is sticking to its naming conventions.

Stay tuned for more updates as the official launch draws closer.
