Rumours are swirling around Xiaomi’s much-anticipated camera-centric flagship, the 17 Ultra, which is said to debut in China before the month ends. While Xiaomi has kept details tightly under wraps, ongoing leaks keep fans on their toes. The latest sneak peek comes courtesy of new spy photos making the rounds online.

According to leaks, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra will feature a trio of rear cameras, each with upgraded hardware. Caught inside a protective case, the most recent spy images don’t reveal the entire camera housing, but three distinct sensors are visible—including what’s believed to be a periscope telephoto lens. There’s also a visible flash and some additional sensors situated nearby.

Earlier leaks, featuring the 17 Ultra’s so-called ‘photographer’s kit,’ hinted at the return of a circular camera module familiar from previous models. This time, however, instead of the four-lens system on last year’s Xiaomi 15 Ultra, the latest device seems set to streamline the design with just three cameras.

There’s also a possibility that Xiaomi is considering a total redesign for the 17 Ultra’s camera housing, perhaps aligning it with the new rectangular module style introduced on the 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max.

As always, enthusiasts are eagerly awaiting the company’s official announcement for confirmed specs, but for now, these leaked glimpses offer intriguing hints at what’s to come.
