The Xiaomi 17 series includes three smartphones – Xiaomi 17, Xiaomi 17 Pro, and Xiaomi 17 Pro Max. While we wait for more information from Xiaomi about the Xiaomi 17 Ultra, reliable tipster Digital Chat Station has revealed some camera details.

Xiaomi’s 17 Ultra will feature a quad-camera setup on its rear, including one 200MP and three 50MP cameras. The primary camera will feature a very high dynamic range, while the periscope telephoto unit will have a new optical technology. One of the four cameras will be an ultrawide unit, while the other will be a regular telephoto unit.

The Xiaomi 17 Ultra’s camera system has been dramatically improved over the previous Ultra model, according to DCS. Additionally, DCS stated that the Xiaomi 17 Ultra will come in two versions, with the higher-end model equipped with revolutionary imaging capabilities.

Chinese regulators have now approved the handset’s use of direct satellite connections. The Xiaomi 17 Ultra supports Tiantong-1 and Beidou satellite connectivity, according to the listing. Xiaomi’s flagship phones now support UWB, which is a new feature.

But there’s a catch. There is a model number, 25128PNA1C, in the approval, which differs from the one spotted earlier in September. The device could be a China-only variant with satellite connectivity, or it could be available in two versions.
