At an event today, Xiaomi announced the Redmi Pad 2 Pro series and the Pad mini.

There are three versions of the Redmi Pad 2 Pro: the Pad 2 Pro (Wi-Fi), Pad 2 Pro 5G, and Pad 2 Pro Matte Glass.

Redmi Pad Pro:

Xiaomi’s new Redmi Pad 2 Pro features a 12.1-inch 2.5K LCD panel with a resolution of 2560 × 1600 pixels and a 120 Hz refresh rate. The display features a brightness of 600 nits and Dolby Vision support. In addition to Dolby Vision and DC dimming, the Pad 2 Pro series is TUV Rheinland Low Blue Light certified. The Matte Glass Version includes an AG nano-texture screen that reduces glare by up to 97%.

It is powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 SoC, fabricated by TSMC on a 4-nanometer scale. The device comes with 6GB/8GB RAM and 128GB/256GB of UFS 2.2 flash memory.

 

The device features an 8MP rear camera with autofocus and an additional 8MP Selfie camera on the front. The Pad 2 Pro 5G gets a 13MP rear camera. The device weighs 890 grams and measures 7.52 mm in thickness. The Redmi Pad 2 Pro features a massive 12,000 mAh battery with 33W fast charging support.

Four Dolby Atmos-certified speakers play back the audio. The Redmi Pad 2 Pro comes with Android 15 OS with HyperOS 2 on top. The connectivity option includes Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, and USB Type-C 2.0.
Xiaomi Pad Mini:

Xiaomi’s new Xiaomi Pad Mini features an 8.8-inch 3K LCD panel that supports a resolution of 2560 × 1600 pixels and offers a refresh rate of 165 Hz. The display features a 16:10 aspect ratio and supports Dolby Vision. It also has Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.

 

The Dimensity 9400+ SoC powers it with 8GB, 12GB, or 16GB of RAM and 256GB, 512 GB, or 1 TB of UFS 4 flash memory.

 

The Xiaomi Pad Mini features a 13MP rear camera with autofocus, as well as an additional 8MP front-facing selfie camera. The device weighs 326 grams and measures 6.4mm in thickness. It features a 7,500 mAh battery with 67W fast charging support.

Four Dolby Atmos-certified speakers play back the audio. The Xiaomi Pad Mini has Android 15 OS with HyperOS 2 on top. The connectivity options include Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and USB Type-C 2.0. To provide an immersive gaming experience, the Xiaomi Pad Mini tablet may also have dual X-axis linear motors, dual speakers, and dual USB-C ports (3.0). Additionally, bypass charging is anticipated to be supported, which lowers heat during gameplay.  The Xiaomi Pad Mini will be available in Purple and Gray.

Pricing:

The Xiaomi Pad mini starts at $429. The Pad will be available in 8 GB/256 GB and 12 GB/512 GB variants.

The Redmi Pad 2 Pro 5G starts at €379.9 for the 6 GB/128 GB model. It comes in two colors: Graphite Gray and Silver. With 8GB RAM and 256GB storage, the Redmi Pad 2 Pro Matte Glass Version costs €379.

The Redmi Pad 2 Pro Wi-Fi starts at €299.9 for the 6 GB/128 GB model. It also comes in an 8 GB/256 GB variant, which costs € 349.90. Graphite Gray, Lavender Purple, and Silver are the available colors.
