Xiaomi is also adding a secondary screen to its smaller flagship – the Xiaomi 17 Pro. On Weibo, the brand shared a teaser video showcasing both devices with their new back displays.
There is no information about the secondary screen’s size or specifications provided by Xiaomi. There will be multiple display options with watch faces, notifications, and a camera viewfinder. The back display will be called the “Magic Back Screen”, according to the Weibo post.

On the back of the Pro series, Leica branding continues the company’s partnership in imaging. With three lenses, the rear camera module features two large vertical sensors and a smaller lens alongside the flash.
Xiaomi has already confirmed that its 17 Pro flagship will be compact, while its 17 Pro Max will be larger. Xiaomi 17 will also be included in the lineup.
Xiaomi last added a secondary screen to its bar phones in 2021 with the Mi 11 Ultra. In that case, the phone’s camera island had a much smaller 1.1-inch AMOLED panel.
