Acer announced an extension of its consumer product line, including new additions to its Iconia X and Iconia A series tablets, at the next@acer global press conference during IFA. With a variety of features, including AI-enabled capabilities, the new tablets are intended to strike a balance between pleasure and productivity.

The latest Android-powered tablets in the Iconia X series include bright screens and AI-enhanced capabilities.

Acer Iconia X12 and X14:

The Acer Iconia X12 The 12.6-inch WQXGA (2560×1600) AMOLED display of the Acer Iconia X12 (X12-21M) has a 16:10 aspect ratio, a maximum brightness of 400 nits, and a refresh rate of 60 Hz. The gadget has a matte black appearance and weighs 500 g. With 256 GB of expandable storage, 8 GB of LPDDR4X RAM, and a MediaTek Helio G99 chipset, it has a 16-hour battery life.

The tablet has a 5 MP front camera and a 13 MP back camera with flash for taking pictures and recording videos. In addition, it has a USB PD 2.0 Type-C connector, GPS, Bluetooth 5.2, dual-band Wi-Fi 5, and quad stereo speakers. The Iconia X12 may be equipped with a magnetic kickstand, a removable keyboard, and a stylus.

The Acer Iconia X14 comes with a 14-inch FHD (1200 x 1920) OLED display. The Acer Iconia X14 (X14-M1N) has a ZeroFrame design. An Allwinner A733 SoC powers it with an integrated NPU. It is coupled with 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage and up to 8 GB of LPDDR5 RAM. The gadget incorporates several novel AI capabilities:

AI Smart Sensing: Offers postural advice and gesture-based control.
AI Super Resolution: Enhances video quality automatically.
Smile Camera: Takes pictures when it detects a grin or the “OK” gesture.

The tablet features a 5 MP front camera and an 8 MP back camera with flash. Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, and a USB Type-C 2.0 connector are all supported, and the battery lasts up to 10 hours. The gadget has an integrated kickstand and an Iron Grey chassis.

Acer Iconica A14 and A16:

The revised range now includes the Iconia A16 (A16-M1N) and Iconia A14 (A14-M1N), which are intended for both work and media consumption. Both tablets contain up to 256 GB of extensible UFS 3.1 storage and up to 8 GB of LPDDR5 RAM. They both run Android 15.

These tablets include the same AI features as the Iconia X14, including AI Smart Sensing, AI Super Resolution, and Smile Camera, and are powered by CPUs with integrated NPUs. The smartphones have broad viewing angles and ZeroFrame designs on their 16- and 14-inch FHD (1200×1920) IPS screens.

They also come with a 5 MP front camera, an 8 MP back camera with flash, and a tripod-style kickstand. Both versions feature Bluetooth 5.4 and dual-band Wi-Fi 6 and have a 10-hour battery life.

Acer Screen Casting, which enables them to be used as a wireless display for laptops over Wi-Fi, is another feature of the new Iconia X and Iconia A series tablets.

Pricing:

In November, the Acer Iconia X12 (X12-21M) will go on sale in North America for USD 320 (about Rs. 28,175); in EMEA for EUR 280; and in Australia for AUD 500 from November forward.

In November, the Acer Iconia X14 (X14-M1N) will go on sale in North America for USD 350 (about Rs. 30,820); in EMEA for EUR 310; and in Australia for AUD 530.

In November, the Acer Iconia A14 (A14-M1N) will be on sale in North America for USD 300 (about Rs. 26,415); in EMEA, it will start at EUR 260; and in Australia, it will start at $360.

The Acer Iconia A16 (A16-M1N) will go on sale in North America in January 2026 for USD 340 (about Rs. 29,935), in EMEA for EUR 300, and in Australia for AUD 500 at the same time.
