It has previously been speculated that the forthcoming Oppo Find X9 Ultra would have a new 200 MP primary camera, and now, well-known Chinese leaker Digital Chat Station revealed which sensor it will employ.
As it happens, Sony is working on one with a 1/1.1″ type size and 200 MP resolution. It’s not quite 1-inch type, but it’s relatively near.
According to intriguing rumours, Samsung has selected this particular sensor for the primary camera of the Galaxy S26 Ultra. Should all of these reports come to pass, the arrival of the Galaxy S26 Ultra and the Find X9 Ultra next year would provide an intriguing scenario as they will be competing with one another while sharing a primary camera sensor.
Given Samsung’s tiny market share in China, the Find X9 Ultra won’t truly compete head-to-head anywhere if it isn’t officially released outside of China, which is certainly not out of the question.
The Find X9 Ultra will be released following the Chinese New Year, which is February 17. According to DCS, it may arrive a bit earlier than its predecessor, which was presented on April 10. If we had to wager, we would choose an unveiling date in March.
