An early peek at Apple’s upcoming “Ultra” wristwatch is being provided via a recent leak. The Apple Watch Ultra 3, which is anticipated to be formally unveiled in September, may have significant improvements, beginning with a somewhat bigger screen.
MacRumors found the most recent hints in the iOS 26 beta, where they found mentions of the Apple Watch Ultra 3. Among the results is a picture showing a 422 × 514 display resolution, a slight improvement above the Ultra 2’s 410 × 502.
Even while the difference might not seem like much, it probably indicates that Apple is packing more screen into the same 49mm dimension by using narrower bezels rather than a larger shell. This might enhance the way notifications, health stats, and applications show up on the wrist.
Many reported improvements are circulating in addition to the display adjustments. One of the most talked-about is satellite connection, which might revolutionise outdoor explorers by enabling communication in places without cell coverage.
There are also rumours that the Ultra 3’s slightly bigger display will be brighter and feature a faster refresh rate for more fluid scrolling. It may be powered by Apple’s upcoming S11 processor, which promises improved battery life, performance, and efficiency.
Health tracking may also benefit. Although it’s uncertain if blood pressure monitoring will be included in this year’s model, it has been suggested as a potential additional function. It is anticipated that the titanium body and general rugged appearance will remain, with Apple probably concentrating on minor improvements rather than a complete makeover.
