The Redmi K90 series may debut in China in October. Still, Xiaomi may introduce the Xiaomi 16 series in September as the first smartphones in the world to use the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chipset. In a Weibo post today, tipster Digital Chat Station revealed important battery and charging details for the next Redmi K90 and K90 Pro models.
The leak suggests the Redmi K90 will likely feature a 7,100mAh battery, while the K90 Pro might boast a slightly larger 7,500mAh unit. It is anticipated that both devices will support rapid 100W charging and employ single-cell silicon-carbon battery technology.

According to earlier leaks, the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 and Snapdragon SM8845 chipsets will power the Redmi K90 Pro and K90, respectively. A recent leak claims that when the SM8845 chip is released onto the market, it will be known as the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5.
A 6.59-inch flat RGB OLED LTPS screen with 2K resolution and a steady 120Hz refresh rate might be included in the series. Expected features of the Pro model include an x-axis linear motor for improved haptics, dual stereo speakers, an ultrasonic under-display fingerprint sensor, a premium metal mid-frame, and a periscope telephoto camera.
According to reports, the Redmi K90 and K90 Pro might be rebranded for foreign markets as the Poco F8 Pro and Poco F8 Ultra. Furthermore, it is anticipated that the standard Poco F8 will go on sale in Q2 2026, possibly as a rebranded Redmi Turbo 5 Pro, which is expected to use the Snapdragon 8s Gen 5 chipset.
