It appears that Realme is altering the way it releases its flagship phones. A recent leak suggests that the Realme GT 8 and GT 8 Pro will be released for sale together in October.
This would represent a significant change from the business’s current trend. Realme unveiled the GT 7 Pro in November of last year, although the regular GT 7 wasn’t available until May 2025.
In addition to dividing attention between devices, its dual launch resulted in a significant hardware gap. The standard GT 7 featured MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400e, whereas the GT 7 Pro utilised Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite CPU.
Realme seems to be going for parity this time. According to the source, Qualcomm’s future flagship chip, the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 (SM8850), which is expected to deliver significant performance improvements, will power the GT 8 and GT 8 Pro.
Additionally, the phones are said to have significant improvements in battery life, periscope zoom, and screen quality, placing them directly in competition with other high-end Android flagships.
