Redmi is reportedly developing the Redmi Note 15 series, which is expected to launch in China by August. Additionally, the brand may introduce the Redmi K90 series in November. There are also rumours suggesting that the Redmi Turbo 5 could be unveiled either late this year or in early January 2026 in China. Today, well-known tipster Digital Chat Station shared a post on Weibo, revealing what seems to be the key specifications of the Turbo 5.
The tipster claims that Redmi is currently testing a mid-range smartphone powered by the Dimensity 8500 chipset. This chipset may be marketed as the Dimensity 8500 Ultra when the phone is officially launched. According to the leak, this device is likely the Redmi Turbo 5 aimed at the Chinese market, which could be rebranded as the Poco X8 Pro for global markets.
The latest leak suggests that the Redmi Turbo 5 will feature a 1.5K resolution LTPS OLED screen, boasting a sleek design with large rounded corners, a premium metal mid-frame, and a minimalist rear camera setup.
Although the display size was not mentioned this time, the tipster has previously stated that the phone will sport a 6.6-inch display. It is expected to house a high-capacity silicon battery, likely around 7,000mAh, as hinted by the battery size starting with “7.” The device is also said to offer a refined in-hand experience and a compact, user-friendly form factor, making it an attractive option in the mid-range segment.
