It appears that Oppo is about to revolutionise smartphone photography once more. In addition to its improved cameras, the forthcoming Find X9 Ultra, which is anticipated in early 2026, is generating a lot of buzz about a purported Hasselblad Photography Kit that would revolutionise mobile photography.
The Find X9 series will expand on Oppo’s collaboration with Hasselblad, which was initially seen with the Find X8 lineup, according to popular Weibo tipster Digital Chat Station. With a 200MP primary camera, a 50MP periscope telephoto lens, and a 50MP ultrawide lens, the Ultra variant is expected to have significant photographic capabilities. However, rumours of a special Hasselblad photography kit that may include snap-on lenses or other attachments, similar to the Zeiss package for the Vivo X200 Ultra, are drawing interest. If accurate, Oppo may be aiming for premium devices with cameras, such as the Xiaomi 15 Ultra.
There’s more. According to reports, Oppo is developing an Android magnetic system similar to MagSafe, which utilises a small 0.2mm magnetic ring on the back panel. This would support 50W AirVOOC wireless charging, providing a convenient and stylish charging experience. The Find X9 Ultra may have compelling hardware, especially when combined with speculations of a MediaTek Dimensity 9500 CPU, a 6.82-inch 2K+ OLED display, and a sizeable 6,000mAh battery.
