The Galaxy S25 FE’s launch date is still unknown, but leaks have given a reasonably comprehensive picture: it will combine flagship and some less expensive features.
Design:
The design will be essentially the same as last year’s, but a move to Armour Aluminium will allow for a lighter and slimmer design—it will weigh 190g and be 7.4mm thick, as opposed to last year’s model’s 8.0mm and 213g.
Specs:
A 6.7″ display with an LTPO panel and a variable refresh rate of 1Hz to 120Hz is among the high-end features that the Samsung Galaxy S25 FE will have. That being said, it will still have a 1080p+ panel with Gorilla Glass Victus+, in contrast to the S25+’s 6.7″ 1440p+ display with Victus 2.
The battery capacity of the new FE will increase by 200mAh, reaching 4,900mAh overall. More significantly, it will be able to charge at 45W, which is gradually being added to newer Galaxy models. Since wireless charging isn’t explicitly mentioned, it should be the typical 15W that high-end Samsung devices come with.
The Exynos 2400 chipset, which Samsung will use for the S25 FE instead of the 2400e that we saw on the S24 FE, is interesting. Although the non-e version operates at higher clock speeds, the silicon is essentially the same so that we can anticipate a modest performance boost but nothing more.
8GB of RAM has been shown in benchmarks; a 12GB option doesn’t seem likely. There will be storage capacities of 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB. Similar to the high-end S-series models, the S25 FE will have software support for seven years following launch.
With a 12MP sensor, the selfie camera might be the only one to receive an upgrade. It would include an autofocus lens if the hardware is the same as that found in the S25. The rear cameras seem to be the same as they were the year before: a 50MP primary, an 8MP 3x telephoto, and a 12MP ultra-wide.
Since the last two Galaxy S FE models were released in early October, the Galaxy S25 FE is most likely to follow suit.
