Poco released the eagerly anticipated Poco F7 last week, which features a massive 7,550mAh battery. According to a recent leak from popular tipster Digital Chat Station, the next Poco F8 may feature an even larger 8,000mAh battery.
Nevertheless, it’s essential to note that DCS did not specifically mention the Poco F8 in his post, and the Poco brand has been inactive in the Chinese market lately. Rather, the leak refers to a high-performance Redmi phone anticipated to be released in 2026, featuring a 6.8-inch flat display and a battery with a capacity exceeding 8,000mAh.
The tipster could be referring to the Redmi K80 Ultra, Turbo 4 Pro, or any of the Redmi Turbo 4’s successors. In summary, the batteries included with these models were 6,550mAh, 7,550mAh, and 7,410mAh, respectively. Based on this trend, the latest leak suggests that the Redmi Turbo 5 Pro, K90 Ultra, or both may surpass 8,000mAh.
The Poco F8 may likely be based on the upcoming Redmi Turbo 5 Pro, given that the Poco F7 (Indian variant) is a rebranded Redmi Turbo 4 Pro. In line with DCS’s leak, the F8 may also come with a 6.8x-inch flat screen and an 8,000mAh battery if that proves to be the case.
In another Weibo post, DCS suggested that the Redmi Note 15 series might be released in China in September 2025, possibly in the second half of the year. Soon after, the Redmi K90 lineup and the Xiaomi 16 series are also anticipated to launch. According to several reports, the Xiaomi 16 series is expected to make its Chinese debut by the end of September.
