According to a rumor a few days ago, the forthcoming Samsung Galaxy S25 FE would include a 50 MP primary back camera, which may not be different from the previous model, and an enhanced selfie camera.
The same source returned today with information on the S25 FE’s telescopic camera, and the news is not good. This camera will be identical to the S24 FE’s 8 MP camera with a 3x optical zoom.
In 2025, 8 MP cameras on the back of handsets this expensive shouldn’t exist, but Samsung regrettably has a different idea. As you may already know, the S25 Edge lacks a dedicated telephoto, so at least the S25 FE will.
It’s reasonable to infer that the sole camera update this year will be on the front of the device because the S25 FE will also have a 12 MP ultrawide, which sounds exactly like the S24 FE’s.
As it turns out, the ‘full’ Exynos 2400 will replace the Exynos 2400e seen in the S24 FE, giving the S25 FE a slightly improved chipset. Overall, based on what has been released so far, the S25 FE appears to be a minimal upgrade to the series. We’ll have to wait and see whether it surprises us with another specification.
