Nothing’s next mid-range phones, the Phone (4a) and Phone (4a) Pro, are now expected to arrive in early March, with March 5 tipped as the most likely launch date. CEO Carl Pei recently described the new lineup as a “complete evolution,” though he stopped short of giving firm details.
According to leakster Yogesh Brar and recent certifications, both models will upgrade to faster UFS 3.1 storage, replacing the UFS 2.2 found in the Phone (3a) series. This speed boost will likely be accompanied by higher prices, even though UFS 3.1 is no longer the latest standard.
Under the hood, the pair is rumoured to use Snapdragon 7‑series chips. Pei has also promised improvements to the display and camera systems, but exact specs haven’t been revealed yet.
Battery capacity is increasing slightly: the Phone (4a) Pro is listed with a 5,080mAh cell, up from the 5,000mAh battery in the Phone (3a) Pro. Both are rated for 1,400 charge cycles, and charging power remains at 50W.
The EPREL listing also shows the new Pro model achieving an IP65 rating, a minor but welcome improvement over its predecessor’s IP64 rating.
With Nothing skipping a true flagship in 2026, the Phone (4a) series effectively becomes the company’s main act this year, raising expectations for how close these mid-rangers can get to a flagship experience.
