Samsung’s upcoming flagships, the Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26+, have had most of their key specifications leaked ahead of launch, and the details suggest a modest, evolutionary upgrade rather than a major overhaul.
Display:
According to tipster Gadgetsdata, the standard Galaxy S26 is expected to feature a 6.3-inch M14 AMOLED display with LTPO, an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate, FHD+ resolution, and HDR10+ support. This makes the screen slightly larger than its predecessor’s while keeping the focus on smooth visuals and power efficiency.
The Galaxy S26+ will reportedly scale things up with a 6.7-inch M14 AMOLED display that also offers an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate and HDR10+, but with a sharper 2K resolution. Samsung is also likely to equip both models with durable protection similar to Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and maintain an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.
Processor:
Inside, Samsung is expected to continue its split-chip strategy. Depending on the region, the Galaxy S26 lineup should ship with either the Exynos 2600 or Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. As in previous years, markets such as the US and China are likely to receive Snapdragon variants, while most other regions will receive Exynos-powered models.
Cameras:
Camera hardware appears to follow a familiar formula. Both the Galaxy S26 and S26+ are said to feature a triple rear camera setup with a 50-megapixel main sensor, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 50-megapixel telephoto camera. While the leak doesn’t go into fine technical detail, this configuration suggests Samsung is aiming for a balanced photographic experience with solid zoom performance rather than introducing radical new camera hardware.
Battery:
Battery and charging specs also surfaced in the leak. The Galaxy S26 will reportedly feature a 4,300mAh battery with support for 25W wired fast charging, while the larger Galaxy S26+ is expected to offer a 4,900mAh battery and 45W wired fast charging. Both phones are also tipped to support Qi2 wireless charging and include USB 3.2 for faster data transfer.
Overall, the leaked specifications paint the Galaxy S26 series as a careful refinement of Samsung’s flagship formula. Users coming from older Galaxy models will likely see a meaningful upgrade in display quality, performance, and charging, but those already using a recent flagship may find the changes relatively incremental. As always with early leaks, some details could still change before Samsung officially unveils the new devices.
