Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy S26 series toward the end of next month, and early dealer data from Sweden suggests notable pricing shifts compared to the Galaxy S25 lineup.
Most S26 models are getting more expensive, largely due to rising costs for RAM and flash storage. However, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is the outlier: its 256GB and 512GB versions are said to be cheaper than last year’s S25 Ultra, while the 1TB model keeps the same launch price.
Galaxy S26 Series:
Samsung is reportedly dropping the 128GB option entirely, making 256GB the new base storage across the range. In Sweden, the 256GB Galaxy S26 is listed at 11,990 SEK (€1,135 / ₹1,23,600), up from 10,990 SEK (€1,040 / ₹1,13,300) for the 256GB S25. The 512GB S26 jumps to 13,990 SEK (€1,325 / ₹1,44,300), roughly €190 (₹20,700) more than the 256GB version.
The Galaxy S26+ remains at 14,490 SEK (€1,372 / ₹1,49,500) for the 256GB model, matching the S25+ launch price. But the 512GB S26+ climbs to 16,990 SEK (€1,609 / ₹1,75,350), over €230 (₹25,000) more than its predecessor.
The Galaxy S26 Ultra becomes slightly more accessible. The 256GB model is listed at 16,990 SEK (€1,609 / ₹1,75,350), down from 17,990 SEK (€1,703 / ₹1,85,900) for the S25 Ultra, while the 512GB version is priced at 18,990 SEK (€1,798 / ₹1,95,900). The 1TB variant stays at 22,490 SEK (€2,129 / ₹2,32,000), indicating Samsung may be absorbing some of the higher memory costs at the very top end.
Leaks also suggest Samsung will end its long-running pre-order perk of free storage upgrades, likely because memory is no longer cheap enough to support such offers.
Hardware changes appear modest. The Galaxy S26 is expected to feature a 6.3-inch M14 AMOLED display with an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate, while the S26+ could feature a 6.7-inch 2K AMOLED panel. Both are rumoured to retain IP68 protection, Gorilla Glass Victus 2, Qi2 wireless charging, and camera hardware similar to that of the S25 series. Depending on the market, power should come from either the Exynos 2600 or Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5.
Samsung is rumoured to announce the Galaxy S26 series on February 25, 2026, with pre-orders starting February 26 and open sales beginning March 11.
