On December 9, Poco will introduce the new C85 5G smartphone, as officially announced after an initial teaser campaign the day before. This upcoming model will join the existing C85 4G, which has been on the market since September. If you’ve got your eye on the C85 5G, the wait is nearly over.
Poco confirmed some key features of the device: it packs a robust 6,000 mAh battery, supports 33W wired charging, and offers 10W reverse wired charging to power up other gadgets. According to Poco, you can top up the battery from 1% to 50% in only 28 minutes, a stat they claim delivers the best-in-class battery performance for its category.
The C85 5G also sports a 50MP primary camera on the back, a detail shared during yesterday’s reveal. Interestingly, there’s heavy speculation that this new Poco handset is essentially a rebranded Redmi 15C 5G, which launched in India earlier today. The specs released so far suggest there might be truth to these rumours.
When it comes to configurations, the C85 5G will be available in options like 128GB of storage with 6GB of RAM, or a beefier 256GB with 8GB of RAM. Pricing seems competitive: you can find the 128GB model for around $127.50 (€99.90), while the 256GB variant hits about $140.00 (€127.09).
For buyers who want a budget-friendly phone with premium fundamentals—especially a long-lasting battery and quick charging—the Poco C85 5G is shaping up to be a strong contender.
