Some details about the upcoming Realme GT 8 Pro have been revealed in a fresh leak, but most of the information isn’t new. It is still expected to be released alongside the regular GT 8 within the next few weeks.

Realme has been teasing the ability to swap the camera island, effectively changing its shape and design. It won’t be possible to change the positioning of the actual camera modules, but thanks to a Ricoh collaboration, you can still choose between a few islands.

According to the teaser video, the phone will feature at least three camera islands, as shown in the included pictures. There appear to be tiny screws holding the isle to the phone, rather than some clever toolless mechanism, so swapping may be a bit of a hassle.

Specs:

Specs of the GT 8 Pro include a 6.78-inch QHD OLED screen with a 144Hz refresh rate. It is likely to be a 10-bit, flat LTPO panel from BOE. Most likely, the chipset will be the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, paired with up to 16GB of RAM. The device features a 7,000mAh battery that charges at 120W to keep the lights on.

The Realme GT 8 Pro features a 50MP LYT-808, 1/1.4″, OIS-enabled primary snapper, a 50MP ultrawide (probably a Samsung ISOCELL JN5), and a 200MP periscope telephoto with telemacro capabilities.

Additionally, it features improved speakers, haptics, and an ultrasonic fingerprint reader. The entire system will be enclosed in an IP69-rated enclosure. The swappable camera islands will not affect the sealing properties of the body. With Realme UI 7, the phone is expected to run Android 16 at launch.
