It is expected that the iQOO 15 will debut in China next month, and that it will be available internationally by the end of the year. Although the brand has already revealed the iQOO 15’s design and a few other features, it has confirmed the phone’s most important feature – its processor.
According to iQOO, the new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 flagship processor will power the iQOO 15. Qualcomm’s flagship silicon was also at the core of the previous iQOO flagships.
The iQOO 15’s Indian model will also feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC. Even though rumors suggested that Indian and other non-Chinese versions of the iQOO 15 would have a different chip, it is good to have an official confirmation.
Additionally, the global iQOO 15 will ship with OriginOS 6 pre-installed, just like its Chinese counterpart. OriginOS, which has been exclusive to China for years, will also be available for the upcoming vivo X300 series.
Regarding the iQOO 15, iQOO previously confirmed that the smartphone will have a 6.85″ 144Hz QHD display, a Q3 gaming chip, a periscope telephoto camera, and a colour-changing back cover.
The iQOO 15’s launch date is expected to be announced soon.
