Last week, an image of the iQOO 15 taken in the wild revealed that the back of the device was painted with a swirl of pink and grey. It turns out that the phone’s colouration is best seen in video rather than in still images.

Although colour-changing backs have been observed previously, this one is most likely the most rapid and striking transformation yet. It changes from an all-grey to that rosy hue depending on the viewing angle.

The iQOO 15 is expected to be released later this month, pending the official announcement of the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. This announcement is anticipated to occur earlier this year, coinciding with Qualcomm’s annual conference on September 23–25. Naturally, the iQOO number series phones have long been devotees of Qualcomm’s premium chipsets.

Although there are currently no official specifics, there are rumours that the phone will include a Samsung panel with a flat 6.85″ QHD OLED display that can go as low as one nit and as high as 6,000 nits. We anticipate an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner and a high refresh rate as well.
