A new listing on Geekbench appears to confirm the chipset of the Galaxy S26 Edge, although the majority of recent rumours have focused on the phone’s battery capacity. Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 will be featured in Samsung’s next thin and light device.

The SM-S947U identifier was used to identify the device, which is probably the U.S. version of the phone. This gives us our first benchmark for Qualcomm’s upcoming flagship chip. Remember that since this is a pre-production unit, the final consumer version will have higher scores.

An eight-core CPU with two prime cores operating at 4.74 GHz and six performance cores operating at 3.63 GHz will be featured in the next flagship chipset. The SD Elite’s 4.32GHz and 3.53GHz CPU frequencies are lower than those of the other models. Qualcomm is reportedly testing the SD Elite 2 with CPU clock speeds of up to 4.6GHz for the regular version and 4.74GHz for the Galaxy version, according to a report from last month.

The S26 Edge attained 11,515 multi-core and 3,393 single-core scores. These results represent gains of 8% and 22%, respectively, and are marginally higher than the S25 Edge’s 3,131 and 9,391 excursions.

It has been confirmed that the Snapdragon Elite 2 will go on sale next month.
