One of the first smartphones to use the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 may be the upcoming iQOO 15. An executive from the company hinted at its impending launch during a well-known gaming livestream in China.
At a live League of Legends: Wild Rift event in China, fans observed actress Zhao Lusi continuing to use the outdated iQOO 11S. The product manager for iQOO then made the lighthearted suggestion that she be given the impending iQOO 15. The new phone’s existence was essentially made public ahead of schedule when the official account promptly verified that Zhao Lusi would receive it.
The company has previously made references to the iQOO 15’s impending release. Before the latest ChinaJoy event, iQOO announced that the iQOO 15 would be awarded to the champions of the “Honor of Kings” 5v5 competition.
According to reports, the normal iQOO 15 and the iQOO 15 Ultra will be the two versions in the future iQOO 15 portfolio. High-end features like a 6.85-inch 2K LTPO OLED screen, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 engine, and a triple back camera setup with 50 megapixels per sensor are anticipated for both. A 3x periscope telephoto unit with a medium-sized sensor will also be part of the configuration.
