Evan Blass, a leaker, stated last week that Samsung would hold its Galaxy Unpacked event on July 9 to reveal a new foldable. Blass was right, as Samsung has confirmed that the event will take place on July 9.
The event will take place in Brooklyn, New York, starting at 10 AM ET. Samsung’s YouTube channel and official website will stream it live. Rumour has it that Samsung will unveil the Galaxy Z Fold7, Galaxy Z Flip7, Galaxy Z Flip7 FE, and the Galaxy Watch8 series at the July 9 Unpacked event. However, the company has not made any specific mention of the products’ names.
With the Galaxy Z Flip7, Samsung has finally transitioned to an almost full-screen cover display, as seen in these renders. Other physical changes don’t seem to have occurred, but I think Samsung’s use of the Blue Shadow colour is fantastic.
The simpler black-and-white colours used on the Flip6 give the Flip7 FE a similar appearance to the Galaxy Z Flip6. The cover display appears outdated, although foldable technology still feels futuristic, considering that some rivals have larger cover displays.
Galaxy Watch8, Watch8 Classic & Watch Ultra (2025):
Thanks to Evan Blass’s most recent set of press renders, we can now be reasonably sure of the appearance of the Galaxy Watch8 series.
The renders depict the Galaxy Watch8 Ultra 2 in blue, the Galaxy Watch8 Classic in white, and the Galaxy Watch8 in black. This year’s major change is the series’ adoption of a squiggle design, which you may like or dislike, but is here to stay.
The standard Galaxy Watch8 features a loudspeaker on the left, two independent buttons on the right, and a flush glass top, almost certainly sapphire.
With two buttons on its sides and a crown button in the centre, the new three-button arrangement on the right of the Galaxy Watch8 Classic is nearly identical to that of the Galaxy Watch Ultra. It also has a rotating bezel around its 1.5-inch screen. It’s unclear whether the button will rotate or function as a pusher, like the Galaxy Watch Ultra.
The second-generation Galaxy Watch Ultra features a grey titanium case, an orange middle button, and a fixed blue-and-orange bezel.
