POCO finally announced India’s much-awaited gaming smartphone, aka POCO F7. As expected, the device is priced aggressively in India and comes with a massive 7550 mAh battery.
Design:
The black-and-white models feature a simple design with two cameras stacked vertically, glossy surfaces, and understated branding. There are no colour accents or textures—just a sleek back with the Poco logo close to the bottom and a camera island in the upper-left corner.
On the other hand, the special edition model features a two-tone finish with a diagonally split back design. The top has prominent Snapdragon branding, fake circuit-like designs, and mock vents. A Poco logo on the right and a brushed silver finish on the lower half create contrast.
Specs:
The new POCO F7 will sport a 6.83-inch 1.5K 12-bit OLED LTPS display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The display also supports HDR10+ and has a peak brightness of 2400 nits. The POCO F7 is powered by the latest Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 SoC. It is paired with 12GB/16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB/512gb/1 TB UFS 4.0 storage space.
The POCO F7 will feature a 50MP primary sensor (f/1.59) with OIS support, an 8MP ultra-wide sensor, and an LED flash. It also features a 20MP selfie shooter. The device comes with an under-display fingerprint scanner and an X-axis haptic motor. It also features an IP68/69 rating, ensuring it is dust—and water-resistant.
The connectivity options include dual SIM, 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, NFC, a USB-C port, a linear X-axis motor, and dual Dolby Atmos stereo speakers. The POCO F7 features a 7550 mAh battery with 90W fast charging support. It runs on Android 15 with HyperOS 2.0 on top. Depending on the battery, the phone weighs slightly more than 215g and features an aluminium frame and glass back.
Pricing:
POCO F7 with 8GB/256GB cost Rs.31,999/-, whereas the 12GB/512GB at Rs.33,999/- in India. The launch offer includes a free 1-year additional warranty and 1 1-year of free screen replacement. There is also flat Rs.2000/- discount on SBI/HDFC/ICICI bank credit cards. It will go on sale from July 1 via Flipkart.
