In 2027, Apple will celebrate the 20th anniversary of the iPhone, and an updated iPhone 19 Pro with a major redesign is expected. According to Bloomberg, the device will feature a curved display without cutouts and extensive use of glass. The new supply-chain report shared by South Korea’s ETNews, the device is set to offer the most significant design change since the iPhone X from 2017.

According to reports, Apple is talking with Samsung and LG Display regarding its upcoming “bezel-less” iPhone display panels. From the front, the device appears as a single piece of glass with a “four-sided bending display”, which relocates the bezels to the sides.

It sounds a lot like Xiaomi’s concept device from 2021. The Xiaomi concept device also had no buttons or ports, which has been a long-standing Apple rumour.

The iPhone may also gain an under-display camera (UD). This report indicates that the iPhone 19 Pro display panel would utilise an updated Finfet-based OLED driving chip fabricated on a 16nm process versus the current 28nm planar process.

Moreover, Apple will unveil a solid-state battery with an all-silicon cathode that will dramatically boost battery endurance. As usual, the information in these early reports should be taken with a grain of salt.
