Just weeks after its real-life images leaked online, Sony’s next flagship phone has quietly appeared on Geekbench. Geekbench listing XQ-FS54 for a device.
Sony’s naming format for European units is aligned with the model code even though the listing doesn’t specify the device’s name. The Xperia 1 VII is probably a European variant.
The device runs a new Qualcomm chipset, which is unnamed, but paired with an Adreno 830 GPU and a CPU clocked at up to 4.32 GHz. As a result, it is relatively easy to guess. Xperia 1 VII is rumored to have Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite processor.
In addition to 12GB of RAM, the phone runs Android 15. It scored 2,967 points in the single-core test and 9,017 points in the multi-core test. The scores are consistent with what you would expect from the latest Snapdragon platform, but they don’t reveal anything more than the fact that the hardware is being actively tested.
Hands-on images and leaked renders of the handheld show that Sony is keeping to its established design language. Due to the camera bump, the phone measures 161.9 x 74.5 x 8.5 mm, or 11 mm at its thickest point.
All buttons, including power, volume, and shutter, are located on the right side, while the left side is left blank.
