The Galaxy S25 Edge was unveiled a few hours ago, and we already have rumors about its successor. According to Korean sources, the Galaxy S26 Edge will launch alongside the Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26 Ultra.
You’re not wrong if you noticed what’s missing. For a few years now, the Galaxy S26+ has been Samsung’s worst seller within its flagship line, so the company is reportedly considering giving up on it.
If this happens, the Galaxy S26 Edge will be the successor to the Galaxy S26+. Apple is also rumored to replace its own iPhone Plus model with the iPhone 17 Air, which, like the Galaxy Edge, banks on thinness as its unique selling point.
Remember, though, that the S26 family has only just begun development, so this is a very early rumor. From the wording of the rumour, the company hasn’t decided yet but is seriously considering axing the S26+ in favour of the S26 Edge. It is hoped that the next-generation Edge will use Si/C battery technology to pack more mAh into the device.
According to Samsung’s current target, the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra will sell 37.7 million units this year. This includes 17.4 million Ultras, 13.6 million vanilla S25s, and 6.7 million S25+s.
