This is Samsung’s most ambitious foldable yet – a dual-hinge smartphone with two hinges. According to certification listings, the device will only launch in China and South Korea by 2025.
A mysterious Samsung device (model number SM-F968), initially codenamed Q7M, has been discovered in the GSMA database. The dual-folding phone has two variants: It is likely to be a Chinese version of the SM-F9680 or a South Korean variant of the SM-F968N (probable).
This dual-folding phone may not see worldwide release, at least initially, due to the lack of Samsung’s typical global identifiers (B, E, U, or U1). According to industry sources, this decision is likely to be tested first in China and South Korea.
In terms of foldable phones, this represents Samsung’s biggest innovation since the original Galaxy Fold in 2019. Over multiple generations, the company has steadily improved durability and usability. As a result of this dual-folding design, more multitasking possibilities are expected to be opened up.
