Xiaomi’s upcoming 15 Ultra is set to be heavily focused on camera performance—no surprise there, given the emphasis on the optics. A recent rumour from a tipster on X has reiterated the phone’s camera specs, which have been circulating for a while, but this “confirmation” brings a sense of finality to the claims.

Here’s what we can expect: the 50 MP primary camera will feature Sony’s 1-inch Lytia LYT-900 sensor. For the 50 MP ultrawide, Xiaomi has opted for Samsung’s ISOCELL JN5 sensor. The 50 MP 3x optical zoom telephoto lens will use Sony’s IMX858 sensor. And the standout feature? The 200 MP periscope telephoto camera with 4.3x optical zoom. It is equipped with Samsung’s ISOCELL HP9 sensor, first seen on Vivo’s X100 Ultra and X200 Pro. With this combination, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra will be nearly unmatched regarding camera hardware.

On the performance front, the 15 Ultra is rumored to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, paired with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. A 6,000 mAh battery will support 90W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. The device is expected to run Android 15, with Xiaomi’s HyperOS 2.0 interface layered on top.
