Samsung has been teasing the upcoming Galaxy F series smartphone, expected to be the affordable Galaxy F16 5G, specifically aimed at the Indian market. Detailed specifications for the device have now surfaced, providing a glimpse of what to expect.
According to leaks, the Galaxy F16 5G will feature a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. It is likely to be powered by a substantial 6,000mAh battery, supporting 25W fast charging. In terms of design, the F16 5G will reportedly have a less premium appearance compared to other models in the Galaxy A series, but it will come with a larger battery.
The camera setup will include a 50MP primary rear sensor, a 5MP ultrawide camera, and a third unidentified camera. For selfies, it will feature a 13MP front-facing camera. The device will be equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 6300+ chipset and 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM. Although the storage options haven’t been fully confirmed, it is likely to come in 128GB and 256GB variants, with support for additional storage via a microSD card.
The Galaxy F16 5G is expected to run Android 14 out of the box and will receive up to seven major Android OS updates. It is rumoured to be priced under INR 15,000 ($171), making it a competitive offering in the budget segment. The phone will likely be available exclusively through Flipkart in India.
