Oppo is gearing up to unveil its next-generation foldable phone, the Oppo Find N5. Yesterday, the Find Product Manager hinted at the imminent release of the first teaser for the device. Today, Oppo officially rolled out a teaser poster, showcasing glimpses of the N5’s design. The foldable phone is confirmed to debut in February in China.
Oppo Find N5: The World’s Thinnest Foldable Phone
Oppo’s Chief Product Officer and OnePlus founder, Pete Lau, revealed that the Find N5 will set a new benchmark for thinness in foldable smartphones. In the teaser, Oppo compares the phone’s thickness to a pencil, which measures approximately 7mm. This suggests the N5 could be around 4mm thin when unfolded and less than 10mm when folded—making it one of the sleekest foldable devices on the market.
Key Features and Improvements
The Oppo Find N5 will feature a durable titanium build, offering enhanced sturdiness while maintaining a lightweight profile. Additionally, it is expected to come with an IPX8 rating, a significant upgrade over the Find N3 from 2023, which lacked an official IP rating.
Reports suggest that the N5 will house a 6,000mAh battery with support for 80W or 100W wired fast charging and 50W magnetic wireless charging. It will run on ColorOS 15 based on Android 15, delivering the latest software experience. Powering the device will be the cutting-edge Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, ensuring top-tier performance.
