Vivo seems to be setting the stage for a new, economically focused sub-brand called Jovi, aiming to cater to the entry-level smartphone market. The excitement around this venture grew when details emerged from a Geekbench listing of a device, tentatively named the Jovi Y39 5G, with model number V2444A.
This listing revealed that the phone is equipped with an octa-core processor peaking at 2.21GHz, supported by the Adreno 613 GPU, hinting at the inclusion of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset which is compatible with 5G networks. The device is also listed with Android 15, suggesting up-to-date software features.
Although no further hardware specifications have been disclosed, there is speculation that this device could mark the debut of the Jovi line, which may focus on providing affordable yet technologically advanced options.
Currently, Vivo has made no formal announcement regarding the launch of this sub-brand or its potential market strategy, though there are indications that the Jovi lineup could initially launch exclusively in China before possibly expanding to other markets, contingent on its success.
