In November, Redmi will release a standard and a Pro model of its K80 series smartphones. Despite this, the company appears to be working on more devices. Redmi is reportedly planning to release a compact sub-flagship phone as well.

It was hinted at by the well-known tipster Digital Chat Station (DCS), who asked on Wednesday, “Do you think Redmi needs a high-performance small-screen phone? ”

This device’s specs were shared by the tipster yesterday. Redmi is “internally” planning to launch a “small-screen phone” with a 6.3-inch display, DCS reports. According to the leak, the phone has a 6000mAh battery despite its small size.

A smaller device, however, might come with some compromises. According to the tipster, it won’t have a telephoto lens or wireless charging support, but it will be a “high-performance sub-flagship.”

The Vivo X200 Pro Mini is a compact flagship that is part of the company’s premium lineup. It seems compact phones will be a trend this year. According to the tipster, the “top five” smartphone companies are “evaluating” small-screen phones. Redmi looks like one of them.

We still don’t know which Redmi series this phone will be part of. It could either be part of the upcoming K-series or the performance-focused Turbo series.

In November, it might launch alongside the K80 and K80 Pro if it’s included in the K80 lineup. Snapdragon 8 Elite may power the K80 Pro, while Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 may power the standard K80.
