Redmi K70 Ultra, Xiaomi Mix Flip, and Redmi Note 14 series are Xiaomi’s upcoming major announcements for the Chinese market. Upon the launch of these new devices in the coming months, Xiaomi is reportedly planning to remove covers from the Xiaomi 15 series in October. Xiaomi 15 and 15 Pro are expected to launch in October, but the 15 Ultra may debut in the second quarter of 2025. According to a new leak, the 15 and 15 Pro will have improvements in their primary cameras.

Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro cameras are rumored to receive significant upgrades, according to Chinese leaker Digital Chat Station. With the new models, the OmniVision 50-megapixel main camera has been customized with a super-large sensor and a large aperture of 1/1.3 inches.

A new nano ALD ultra-low-reflective coating will also be featured on the Xiaomi 15 series. This coating will improve light transmittance, picture clarity, texture, and reduce glare and ghosting. Xiaomi 15 Pro may feature a periscope telephoto lens, absent in recent generations, which would substantially increase its telephoto capabilities. On the back of the 15 Pro will be a triple camera unit with 50MP (main), 50MP (ultra-wide) and 50MP (periscope telephoto).

Additionally, the series will include the AI-enabled Xiaomi AISP imaging model, which utilizes computational photography to produce more realistic light and shadows.

Xiaomi’s 15 and 15 Pro are expected to debut as the world’s first Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 smartphones. Unlike the standard version, the Pro version will have a microcurved screen with equal depth.
