In October 2023, Xiaomi 14 Pro was launched in China, but it did not join its siblings in touring the world. According to reports, its successor will feature a 50 MP triple camera setup that has been improved. The Xiaomi 15 series of smartphones is expected to be unveiled in China in October. Qualcomm’s next-generation Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset may power the Xiaomi 15 and 15 Pro. New leaks reveal the Pro variant’s camera specifications, courtesy of tipster Experience More.

Xiaomi 15 Pro will have three 50MP cameras on its back, according to the leak. According to the leaker, it will have a 1-inch OmniVision OV50K camera.

The primary camera will be accompanied by an ultra-wide lens of 50MP. There will also be a 50MP Sony IMX882 telephoto camera with a 3x optical zoom. The leaker highlighted IMX882’s excellent power consumption and technical specifications despite it having a slightly lower resolution when cropped digitally than OmniVision’s OV64B sensor.

Xiaomi’s 14 Pro has a 50MP Samsung JN1 sensor, which was cropped 2.9x to 3.2x. The IMX882 shows significant improvements. Aperture size also affects performance. Lecia’s camera optimizations will be supported as a result of the ongoing collaboration between Xiaomi and Lecia, despite the leaker’s lack of details.

The Xiaomi 15 lineup will also include the Xiaomi 15 Ultra, which is expected to launch in the first half of 2017. Currently, there is no concrete information about the Ultra variant’s camera specifications.
