Honor introduces the first flip-foldable with Honor Magic V Flip featuring impressive 4″ cover display.

Today, Honor marks the launch of its first clamshell foldable smartphone, the Magic V Flip, joining the Magic V series as a market leader. There is no doubt that the large 4-inch LTPO OLED cover screen makes this one of the most impressive flip foldables in the market.

Honor Magic V Flip:

The Honor Magic V Flip comes with 6.8 inches FHD+ AMOLED LTPO display with a resolution of 2640×1080 pixels and a 21:9 aspect ratio. It comes with whopping 120Hz refresh rate support & Corning Gorilla Glass Victus on top. Besides its 3,000 nits peak brightness, it covers 92% of the BT.2020 color space and supports Dolby Vision.

Honor Magic V Flip display slides back into the frame to avoid damage when you fold the device. Honor Magic V Flip packs a larger 4.0 inches (1,092 x 1,200 pixels) OLED outer display which is perfect to shoot a selfie. The device makes clever use of its large diagonal by splitting content such as apps into 16:9 mode for better scaling and by supporting a horizontal split for watching videos. The Always on Display (AoD) feature also lets you run full-screen apps right on the cover display. In addition, Honor added some clever continuity features that automatically expand your apps when you go from the cover screen to the main screen.

When folded flat, the Magic V Flip measures 14.89mm and 7.5mm when unfolded. Honor developed a proprietary hinge mechanism that uses lightweight steel foil components and aluminum frames.

The new Honor Magic V Flip is powered by SD 8+ Gen 1 SoC coupled with 12GB/16GB RAM and 256GB/512GB/1TB storage. It also managed to fit a 0.25mm liquid-cooled VC plate covering 2,300mm of heat dissipation area.

The new Honor Magic V Flip features a 50MP Sony IMX903 outer camera with an aperture of f/1.88 with OIS coupled with a 12MP ultra-wide sensor with f/2.2 aperture. There is a 50MP Sony IMX816 selfie shooter with an f/2.2 aperture. One can use the outer display to click the selfie which was missing from the predecessor.

The device comes with Dual SIM support with 5G, 4G LTE, VoLTE, Bluetooth 5.3, WLAN, NFC, A-GPS, GLONASS, USB Type-C port, and IPX8 certification. The Honor Magic V Flip packs a lower 4800 mAh battery with a 66W fast charger. Honor Magic V Flip runs on Android 14 OS with MagicOS 8,0 on top.

The Honor Magic V Flip with 12GB+256GB cost 4999 Yuan (Rs.58,900/-) and 16GB+1TB at 5999 Yuan (Rs.69,200/-). International availability of the Magic V Flip has not been confirmed by Honor.
