In January, Oppo launched the Find X7 and Find X7 Ultra. At the end of March, the company also released a satellite communication edition of the Find X7 Ultra. There are already rumors about the successor to the Find X7 series, the Find X8 series, only two months after the latest addition to the Find X7 series was released.

According to reliable tipster Digital Chat Station, Oppo has speeded up the development of the Find X8 series. In early Q4 of 2024, the Find X8 series might be released.

It was previously reported that the Find X8 will use the upcoming Dimensity flagship, while the Ultra model will use Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, which is similar to the Find X7 series. Additionally, the Find X8 Ultra may offer an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner along with the next-generation flagship chips. It is possible that the Find X8 will still use the optical fingerprint scanner.

With a similar launch time, the Find X8 series may directly compete with the Xiaomi 15 series. It is also possible that the OnePlus 13 will be released around the same time.

Xiaomi was expected to launch the first smartphone with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 in mid-October. With the rumored early release of the next Oppo flagship, the timeline seems questionable. Xiaomi still holds the exclusive right to launch Snapdragon flagship chips, according to tipster Yogesh Brar.
