Galaxy Z Flip6 has reportedly been tipped to use only Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, Samsung’s next flagship foldable flip phone. Samsung previously offered two Galaxy Z Flip models with Snapdragon and Exynos chipsets. In a post on X, the tipster kro_roe provided this new information.

Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy Z Flip6 and Galaxy Z Fold6 at the next unpacked event on July 10. There are several markets where the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6 are top-of-the-line flagship models. According to the tipster, Samsung will not feature the Exynos 2400 chips on the Galaxy Z Flip6. Several previous leaks have indicated the Galaxy Z Flip6 will feature the Exynos 2400 chip in some regions and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip in others.

It is common for Samsung to equip its flagship foldable models, such as the Galaxy Z Fold and Z Flip, with Qualcomm Snapdragon chipsets. As for Galaxy S models, they get either Qualcomm or Exynos SoCs as a dual chipset approach. If it had done so, it would have marked a significant change from its normal course of action. Samsung Galaxy S24 models feature the Exynos 2400 chipset, which is fully competitive with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.

At this time, there is no official confirmation of the dual-chipset hint for the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6.
