An upcoming Xiaomi smartphone series rumored to be called the Xiaomi 14T is being developed. Xiaomi might introduce two phones – a regular Xiaomi 14T and a more powerful Pro version, the Xiaomi 14T Pro.
Xiaomi’s HyperOS code revealed interesting details about these devices, as spotted by Android Headlines. Xiaomi 14T Pro might be an upgraded version of the rumored Redmi K70 Ultra.
The Redmi K70 Ultra and Xiaomi 14T Pro share a codename (“rothko”) and model number (“N12”), indicating similar features, however the Xiaomi 14T Pro is expected to have some improvements. Redmi K70 Ultra is reported to lack features such as wireless charging and telephoto cameras with Leica lenses.
Further, Xiaomi 14T Pro will likely feature Dimensity 9300 processors. Globally, the phone should launch with model numbers “2407FPN8EG” and “2407FPN8ER,” with availability in various regions. According to the report, a launch in India is unlikely.
The standard Xiaomi 14T is reportedly codenamed “degas.” It will also be available globally under the model numbers “2406APNFAG” and “XIG06.” It is expected to miss the Indian market, similar to the Pro variant.
Xiaomi 13T’s Dimensity 8200 Ultra processor may remain in its successor, although details are not confirmed.
Typically, Xiaomi T series models differ in their processors between standard and pro models. Similar cameras and batteries were found in both the 13T and 13T Pro. With the 14T series, the trend is to follow suit.
In August, Redmi K70 Ultra is expected to launch in China. It is therefore likely that the global launch of the Xiaomi 14T series will take place in September.
