OPPO formed a network development team last year to address this issue. Our LinkBoost product was developed after three months of research across six countries and over 100 network improvement tasks.

How does LinkBoost work?
OPPO smartphones with LinkBoost feature a 360-degree surround antenna design. The software optimizes operations over cellular frequency bands in order to improve signal transmission power and reception. LinkBoost also includes:
- AI network selection that automatically switches between network cells depending on the user’s environment. By detecting when a user enters the elevator, LinkBoost can switch quickly to the best network cell when they exit to ensure a stable network.
- Antenna power enhancement technology that optimizes signal strength and antenna radiation efficiency. Changes in the antenna distribution deliver a 50% increase in coverage, and changes in the switching method of the RF front-end and RF architecture enhance the signal and increase the transmission power for India’s 5G bands.
Results:
On the OPPO F25 Pro and Reno11 series, OPPO tested LinkBoost under network disruption conditions both locally and internationally.
As compared to devices with the same chipset, WhatsApp video call recovery showed an improvement of up to 80%. In comparison to devices with the same chipset, 24.6% fewer calls drop in weak signal areas like basements and underground garages.
