Samsung plans to sell its Galaxy S24 trio at the same prices as its predecessors, the Galaxy S23 lineup, according to a Korean news outlet. A separate report also confirms the S24’s emergency satellite texting capability.

It has been rumored for quite some time now, but this leaked screenshot will likely put all doubts to rest. As with some Huawei phones and the latest iPhones, the Galaxy S24 phone supports emergency texting via satellite connection.

According to the report, all Galaxy S24 phones will support the new emergency feature, regardless of the chipset. Samsung’s Galaxy S24 series meets the 3GPP standards for such a connection, but it remains to be seen whether it will be available in all markets right away.

Pricing:

According to reports, the smartphone maker plans to maintain last year’s prices. With more features at the same or lower price than its competitors, it believes it can boost sales in a recovering market.

During its upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event on 17th January 2024, the South Korean tech giant will unveil the Galaxy S24 lineup. There will be three models in this flagship series: the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra. It is expected to cost the same as its predecessor, the Galaxy S23, according to Hankyung. The Galaxy S24 base model may sell for 799 US Dollars, while the Galaxy S24+ and Galaxy S24 Ultra may sell for 999 US Dollars and 1,199 US Dollars, respectively.

Shipment of 33 million units is expected to result in 10% more sales than last year. You should expect higher prices for the various storage configurations. Samsung’s goal is to remain competitive in the flagship smartphone segment by keeping prices stable.
