Xiaomi launched the 14 series today with the just-announced Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, revamped Leica-branded main cameras, and Xiaomi’s new HyperOS.

With top-notch specifications, the Xiaomi 14 is a compact flagship phone. It has a boxy design with a protruding square camera module on the back. It is dust- and water-resistant according to IP68 standards. The middle frame is also made of metal.
It measures 8.2mm thick & weighs 188g. The Xiaomi 14 sports a smaller 6.36-inch C8 OLED with 1.5K resolution with a 120Hz refresh rate. It also gets 12-bit colors, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and 2800-nits brightness.
The Xiaomi 14 comes with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC coupled with 8GB/12GB/16GB LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB/256GB/512GB/1TB UFS 4.0 storage. Xiaomi 14 features a 50MP f/1.6 aperture 1/ 1.31″ Light Fusion 900 main sensor with Hyper OIS & Leica Summilux lens support. It comes with a 50MP 115° Leica ultra-wide with a f/2.2 aperture along with a 50MP Samsung JN1 telephoto lens with an f/2.0 aperture & OIS.
Again the Xiaomi 14 features the same old 32MP selfie shooter as its predecessor.
The Xiaomi 14 packs a 4600 mAh battery with 90W fast wired & 50W wireless charging support. It also gets 10W reverse wireless charging support. The connectivity options include Dual SIM with 4G LTE & 5G support, NFC, IR blaster, Bluetooth 5.4, Wi-Fi 7, and USB Type-C 3.2 port with X-axis linear motor. It also gets stereo speakers powered by Dolby Atmos. It runs on HyperOS with Android 14 OS out of the box. This time the Xiaomi 14 also gets IP68 certified making it dust and water-resistant.
Xiaomi 14 Pro:
Compared to its smaller sibling, the Xiaomi 14, the Xiaomi 14 Pro is not as compact. In spite of this, it has the same design language, including a boxy design and a protruding square camera module. The smartphone is IP68-certified, making it dust and water-resistant. In addition, Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protects the screen from scratches and accidental damage.
It measures 8.49mm thick & weighs 223g. The Xiaomi 14 Pro sports a larger 6.73-inch C8 OLED with 2K resolution with a 120Hz refresh rate. It also gets 12-bit colors, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and 2800-nits brightness. The device also gets Xiaomi Ceramic Glass protection.

The Xiaomi 14 series will go on sale in China on October 31, 2023 (Tuesday). The Xiaomi 14 comes in Midnight Black, White, Rock Green, and Snow Mountain Pink colors. The Xiaomi 14 Pro comes in Black, White, and Rock Green colors.
The Xiaomi 14 with 12GB+256GB costs 3999 Yuan (Rs.45,800/-)& 12GB+512GB at 4299 Yuan (Rs.49,000/-). The higher 16GB+512GB at 4599 Yuan (Rs.52,800/-) & 16GB+1TB at 4999 Yuan (Rs.57,500/-) in China.
The Xiaomi 14 Pro costs 4999 Yuan (Rs.57000/-) for 16GB+256GB, 12GB+512GB at 5499 Yuan (Rs.63,100/-) & 16GB+1TB at 5999 Yuan (Rs.68,250/-). There is also 16GB + 1TB Titanium Special Edition that cost 6499 Yuan (Rs.74,000/-) in China.
