OriginOS

The Vivo Developer Conference will be held in Shenzhen on November 1, 2023. OriginOS 4, Vivo’s latest custom skin based on Android 14, will be unveiled during the event. Vivo has also teased that it will announce another self-developed operating system at the event.

Digital Chat Station suggests that the OS will be used in IoT devices, though Vivo has not revealed much about it. Vivo is unlikely to depart from the Android/AOSP ecosystem in the near future, but it is unclear whether the OS will be available on mobile devices.

At the conference, Vivo will also unveil a self-developed AI large model. Globally, Vivo’s self-developed large model ranks first in the C-Eval large model evaluation.

OriginOS 4 will feature five self-developed large models with three different parameter levels for the first time in the company’s history. The models will cover a wide range of core application scenarios.

We should find out more about the self-developed OS and OriginOS 4 at the Vivo Developer Conference in a few weeks.
