It’s finally here: the OnePlus Open. During a global event today in Mumbai, India, the company unveiled its first-ever foldable phone. As a result of leaks and rumors leading up to today’s launch event, there was no mystery surrounding the device. It’s important to note that the OnePlus Open is what the OPPO Find N3 is to the China market. Both devices are the same.

The new OnePlus Open sports a massive 7.8-inch QHD+ foldable punch-hole internal LTPO AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Further, there is a smaller 6.31-inch outer punch-hole AMOLED display with an 18:9 aspect ratio & resolution of 2120 × 1080p. Now, the outer display also supports a 120Hz refresh rate. There is a Ceramic Guard protection on top for the internal display.

The hinge on OnePlus’ foldable phone is made from aerospace-grade materials. With a 1,000,000-fold rating, it is said to last ten years. Furthermore, the crease on the device is barely noticeable.

The OnePlus Open is powered by SD 8 Gen 2 SoC coupled with 12GB/16GB RAM and 256GB/512GB UFS 3.1 internal storage. The phone comes with gesture support like a two-finger swipe down allowing split-screen for multi-tasking or a four-finger pinch making the full-screen app into a floating window.

There is a total of five cameras three on the back and two selfie cameras one outer other for internal display. The OnePlus Open features a 1/1.43-inch 48MP main Sony LYTIA-T808 pixel stacked sensor, with a 48MP ultra-wide sensor and a 64MP periscopic sensor with 6x optical zoom. There is a 32MP Sony IMX615 selfie shooter on both the inner & 20MP on the outer display. It comes with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

The OnePlus Open packs a 4800mAh battery with 67W Super VOOC charge support & 15W wireless charging support. It also gets 10W reverse wireless charging support. The OnePlus Open runs on Android 13 with OxygenOS 13 on top. There is WiFi-7, dual 5G, an X-axis linear motor, Bluetooth 5.3, a USB-C port, and NFC on the OnePlus Open.
