Samsung’s upcoming midranger, the Galaxy A55, is pretty scarcely known, so GalaxyClub’s most recent findings set the stage for upcoming speculation. Samsung should release the A55 around March next year if it sticks to its schedule. The publication uncovered the handset’s SoC and main camera specifications.

Samsung is reportedly testing the Galaxy A55 with a SoC with model number S5E8845, which we believe to be the still-unannounced Exynos 1480. The S5E8835 and S5E8825 model numbers are assigned to the Exynos 1380 and 1280, respectively. Galaxy A54 and A53 are powered by these chipsets.

It’s interesting to note that the Exynos 1480 SoC may offer an AMD GPU. According to a recent rumor, Samsung and AMD are collaborating to improve image processing and AI performance using AMD graphics. However, this report is still unconfirmed.

According to the leak, the Galaxy A55 is expected to have the same 50MP main camera as its predecessor.
