Two weeks from now, Samsung will unveil its Galaxy “Fan Edition” tablets, smartphones, and headphones. Along with the Galaxy S23 FE and the Galaxy Buds FE, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE and Tab S9 FE+ will also be launched. The device data is available in advance.
As Samsung’s first “Fan Edition” tablet in two years, it has a high-quality design but slimmed-down hardware compared to regular models, especially in terms of the CPU. Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S9 FE and Galaxy Tab S9 FE Plus are, so to speak, mid-range tablets.
The Galaxy Tab S9 FE comes with a complete aluminum body which gives it a premium feel. The new Galaxy Tab S9 FE sports a 10.9-inch QHD+(WQXGA 2304 x 1440 pixels) TFT IPS LCD panel with a 16:10 aspect ratio. Galaxy Tab S9 FE Plus sports a 12.4-inch QHD+(WQXGA 2560 x 1600 pixels) TFT IPS LCD panel with a 16:10 aspect ratio. Only the Plus variant comes with S-Pen support.
The Galaxy Tab S9 FE series will be powered by downgraded Exynos 1380 SoC the one that is also powering the Galaxy A54 5G. It is coupled with 6GB/8GB RAM & 128GB/256GB storage options on Galaxy Tab S9 FE. The Galaxy Tab S9 FE Plus comes with 8GB/12GB RAM and 128GB/256GB storage options.
The Galaxy Tab S9 FE comes with an 8MP single rear camera & 12MP selfie shooter on the front. The Galaxy Tab S9 FE Plus features an 8MP main & 8MP ultra-wide sensor along with a 12MP selfie shooter. It can shoot 4K videos at 30fps.
The connectivity option includes a USB Type-C port, Wi-Fi6, Bluetooth 5.3, A-GPS, GLONASS, and optional 5G support. As an added bonus, the devices are even IP68-certified, which isn’t a given for tablets outside the upper class.
The Galaxy Tab S9 FE packs 8000 mAh whereas the Tab S9 FE Plus with 10090 mAh battery with 45W fast charging. The devices weigh around 524g & 628g respectively. There are four colors available for Samsung’s new tablets gray, mint, silver, and lavender. Although the latter color won’t be available everywhere.
The Galaxy Tab S9 FE starts at 529 euros in Europe, according to previous reports. The Tab S9 FE+ costs at least 699 euros. You will have to pay an additional 100 euros for 5G support.
