The launch date of the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro in China has been officially announced. According to the company’s microblogging site Weibo, the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro will be unveiled next week. The processor and RAM specifications of the upcoming OnePlus phone have also been announced officially. The device will be available with up to 24GB of memory, which is one of its key highlights.

The OnePlus Ace 2 Pro will be launched in China on August 16th, according to a teaser image posted on Weibo (via Digital Chat Station). There will be a different name for the Ace series when it is introduced to global markets. The OnePlus Ace 2 was released worldwide as the OnePlus 11R.

Weibo describes the phone as having a 6.74″ display with a “1.5K” resolution – which is presumably 1,240 x 2,772px. The display will, however, be curved like the original Ace Pro.

According to previous reports, the Ace 2 Pro will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. According to leakster tech cloth, the top configuration will have 24GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. After the Red Magic 8S Pro+, this would be the only phone with that much RAM.

Furthermore, its 5,000mAh battery is said to be able to charge at 150W, faster than expected. The Ace 2 has a 5,000mAh/100W battery, while the original Ace Pro had 4,800mAh/150W.

New reports confirm that the new model will have a 50+8+2MP camera setup, and that the main sensor will be the IMX890, the same sensor used in the Ace 2 and the flagship OnePlus 11.
